The Radical Camera: New York’s Photo League, 1936 – 1951 – a show of 140+ vintage photographs.
The Jewish Museum in New York City and the Columbus Museum of Art in Ohio have collaborated on this exhibition. Drawn from the Photo League collections in these 2 museums, the show promises to cover the wide range of work produced during the 15 year period, crossing from the Depression, across World War ll, into the anti-communist scare period.

The Radical Camera: New York’s Photo League, 1936 – 1951 will premiere at The Jewish Museum from November 4, 2011 through March 25, 2012. The Radical Camera exhibition will then travel to the Columbus Museum of Art, Columbus, OH (April 19 – September 9, 2012); the Contemporary Jewish Museum, San Francisco, CA (October 11, 2012 – January 21, 2013); and Norton Museum of Art, West Palm Beach, FL (February 9 – April 21, 2013).
