Rare photographs taken by survivors of the sinking of the Titanic are being auctioned. The images, along with handwritten letters, are by survivors John and Nelle Pillsbury Snyder. They are bring auctioned by Phillip Weiss Auctions.
The Snyders were returning from their honeymoon, and were among the first to get into lifeboats in the early morning of April 15, 1912.
Most of the photos are of rescue ships approaching.
