36 mobile phone camera modules in a tossable, and hopefully – catchable, ball camera, produce a full surround image. The padded ball camera takes fixed-focus images at the peak of it’s upward throw (built-in accelerometer does the trick). The pictures are downloaded through USB and automatically accessible through a spherical software viewer.

Very cool and amusing. There a some visible artifacts of the necessary stitching, but the overall results are pleasing, and worth a look.
